DESCRIPTION:Former longtime professor and band director for Norfolk State University Rogers Brown founded the RaJazz band over 20 years ago in Chesapeake\, VA. The band’s sound is an eclectic mix of R&B\, pop\, soul and jazz. The band is comprised of three vocalists\, a saxophonist\, keys\, drums\, percussion\, bass and guitar. Throughout the years\, RaJazz has performed at the 44 the annual Hampton Jazz Festival\, the American Music Festival at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront\, the Umoja Festival\, the Seawall Festival and Sunset Thursdays in Portsmouth VA. The band has shared the stage with award winning national artists such as George Duke\, Dave Koz\, Peabo Bryson\, Kem\, Boyz II Men\, the Temptations\, Bebe Winans and Jill Scott. RaJazz features top notch talent and has a garnered a reputation as the premier band in the Hampton Roads area.
